Dr. Wang received his doctorate in Political Science from the University of Tübingen (ERCCT), Germany. He was a postdoc research fellow at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg/Centre for Global Cooperation Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany (2012-2013), and a visiting research fellow at the Institute of Asian Studies, GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies (2013). Dr. Wang got his Master degrees in international politics/international security from Queen’s University of Belfast, UK, and also from the University of Denver, US. Dr. Wang’s research interests include international relations theory, international security, Chinese foreign policy, cross-Strait relations, and Taiwanese democratization. He has published journal articles relevant to the above topics, including the recent book, The Rise of China and Chinese International Relations (IR) Scholarship (Lanham, MD: Lexington Books, 2013).
