2021

Short-Term Resident Fellow Program 2021-2022 Open for Applications

Applications to the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme, October 2021 to March 2022 period, are now accepted until June 15, 2021! In this programme, we welcome Ph.D. or postdoc researchers to join the CCKF-ERCCT for a period of between three and six months and grant them a monthly stipend of 350 EUR plus a 500 EUR travel grant, as by then the pandemic situation should be under control in Germany with most people having recieved vaccinations.

2019

Apr. 5 - Welcome to Mark Henderson

Dr. Mark Henderson, who just graduated from National Cheng Chi University's programme of Asia Pacific Studies, arrived in Tübingen on April 2 to take part in the ERCCT Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme. He will stay until August and present his current research project in a session of the Taiwan Colloquium. The ERCCT team is glad to have him here, and we all wish him a pleasant and fruitful stay!!!

2018

Dec. 20 - Welcome - Kwan Chung Yin

The ERCCT team warmly welcomes Mr. Kwan Chung Yin  關仲然, Ph.D. student from SOAS, London. He just arrived on December 19, 2018, to take part in the ERCCT 's Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme until September 2019. We wish him a fruitful and interesting time in Tübingen.

Apr. 12 - Welcome - Beatrice Zani

The CCKF-ERCCT team warmly welcomes Ms. Beatrice Zani, who arrived in Tübingen on Thursday, April 12, 2018, to join the centre for four months under the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme. Ms. Zani is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at Lyon II University. 

We wish her pleasant stay and many good experiences in Tübingen!

2017

Mar. 03 - Short Term Resident Fellow Programme 2016/2017

Starting from October 2016, the ERCCT runs a new Short Term Resident Fellow Programme: Two Ph.D. students or postdoc researchers from Europe and Taiwan are invited each year to join the centre in Tübingen for a period between six months and one year.

Invited fellows will be granted a monthly allowance of EUR 350, basic health insurance, and a one time travel grant of EUR 500. They will be provided with office space and enjoy the opportunity to discuss projects and exchange ideas with ERCCT Fellows and Visiting Scholars working at the ERCCT. Short term resident fellows are encouraged to present their ongoing research in a Taiwan Colloquium. Moreover, they are invited to take part in the center’s mani-fold academic activities.  Working languages at the ERCCT are English and Mandarin, German language skills are hence not required.

Interested applicants should submit an academic CV, an exposé of their Ph.D. or postdoc research project of no longer than 10 pages, and a letter of recommendation by a professor of the institution where they are enrolled/affiliated. Please also state the intended duration of your stay. All application materials should be sent in electronic form to Stefan Braig.

The application deadline for the winter semester 2016/2017 (17 October 2016 to 11 February 2017) is 15 July 2016, the deadline for the summer semester 2017 (18 April to 29 July) is 15 February 2017. 

Nov. 22 - Welcome - Guo Sheng-ping

The CCKF-ERCCT team warmly welcomes Mr. Guo Sheng-ping, who arrived in Tübingen on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, to join the centre for three months under the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme. Mr. Guo is a Ph.D. candidate of Emmanuel College of Victoria University in the University of Toronto, Canada.

We wish him a pleasant stay!

Nov. 8 - Welcome - Monika Arnoštová

The CCKF-ERCCT team warmly welcomes Ms. Monika Arnoštová, who arrived in Tübingen on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, to join the centre for six months under the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme.Ms. Arnoštová is a Ph.D. candidate of the School of Sociology & Population Studies at Renmin University of China. 

We wish her a pleasant and productive stay!

Oct. 04 - Fellows selected for the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme

The ERCCT has selected two international Ph.D. candidates to come to Tübingen and join us in the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme. So we look forward to receiving Ms. Monika Arnoštová from the School of Sociology and Population Studies at Renmin University and Mr. Guo Sheng-ping 郭勝平 from Emmanuel College at the University of Toronto in November. Ms. Arnoštová will stay for six month at the ERCCT in order to start a comparison between Taiwan and other East Asian countries with regard to the culture of overtime work. Mr. Guo will stay for almomst three months with the aim of engaging in background research concerning the Lingliangtang-Church in Taiwan. 

May. 30 - Welcome - Tatiana Komarova

The CCKF-ERCCT team warmly welcomes Dr. Tatiana Komarova (Nizhny Novgorod). Dr. Komarov has arrived on Monday, May 29, 2017, and stays at the center until June 28th, taking part in the Short-Term Resident Fellows Programm. We wish her a productive and pleasant stay. 

May. 12 - Mon Ya-Feng

Under the heading 'The Moving Image & The Affective Economy of Knowledge' Dr. Mon Ya-Feng 毛雅芬, who has recently joined the ERCCT as a Short-Term Resident Fellow, presented her Ph.D. resarch during a session of the Taiwan Colloquium on 12 May 2017.

Apr. 27 - Welcome - Mon Ya-Feng

We warmly welcome Dr. Mon Ya-Feng 毛雅芬 who has arrived in Tübingen on April 27! Dr. Mon who joins the ERCCT under the Short-Term Resident Fellow Programme will stay until August 3, 2017, and present her research in the Taiwan Colloquium on May 12. 

Mar. 09 - Huang Huitzu

The ERCCT Team extends a warm welcome to Ms. Huang Huitzu 黄慧慈, who has arrived today to join the ERCCT in the framework of the Short-Term Resident Fellows Programme. She will stay until the end of June to finalise her Ph.D. project, comparing enegry policy in Germany, Taiwan, and Japan. We wish her a pleasant stay in Tübingen and success with her work. 

2016

Aug. 02 - Short Term Resident Fellow Programme in 2016/2017 open for applications

Applications for our new Short Term Resident Fellow Programme in 2016/2017 are still being accepted until August 31st! Under the programme, Ph.D. or postdoc researchers are welcome to join the CCKF-ERCCT for a period of between six and 12 months, being granted a monthyl stipend of 350, EUR and a 500 EUR travel grant.
