Deng Xiaodong is a PhD student at the Graduate Institute for Taiwan Studies of Xiamen University. He entered the Graduate Institute for Taiwan Studies of Xiamen University in September 2013 as a master's student and continued to pursue his PhD at the Graduate Institute for Taiwan Studies of Xiamen University in September 2015. His main research interests are Taiwan politics and cross-strait relations. His current research project is ”A Study on the formation mechanism of Taiwan's subjective consciousness”.
