Chang Ti-Han is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Transtextual and Transcultural Studies. She received her MA in Literature of Modernity at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her main research interest is postcolonial literature at the interface with animal ethics and environmental studies, looking specifically into the literary and sociopolitical aspects of the works of South African writer J.M. Coetzee and Taiwanese author Wu Ming-yi 吳明益. Her research also draws on contemporary continental philosophy, cultural and political theories, notably the works of Jacques Derrida, Giorgio Agamben, Timothy Morton, Etienne Balibar and Benedict Anderson, etc.
