Shaohua Hu is Associate Professor of the Department of Government and Politics at the New York-based Wagner College, where he chaired the department from 2007-13, and has coordinated the International Affairs program since 2001. He received his Ph.D. from the School of International Service at The American University, and his M.A. and B.A. from the Department of International Politics at Peking University. Previously he was a Senior Visiting Fellow at East Asian Institute under National University of Singapore, a research assistant at the Washington-based US Institute of Peace, and a research fellow at the Institute of World Economy and Politics under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has also taught at Colgate University, Colby College, and the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
