Division VIII – Construction, Safety, and Environment covers general issues involving buildings, health, safety and environment.
Our tasks:
We are responsible for construction, buildings and facility management at the University.
We coordinate issues such as occupational safety, fire safety, and the University medical officer.
We are responsible for water and radiation safety, animal welfare, as well as for the implementation of rules regulating the use of hazardous materials and waste disposal.
We organize first aid courses and give advice to fire safety and first aid volunteers.
We work continuously for sustainable operating of the University along environmental lines.
We are responsible for energy controlling and management at the University.
We set standards for the raising of energy efficiency in sanitation, heating and climate technology for buildings.
