Center for Teaching and Learning
As part of the Study Successfully in Tübingen (ESIT) program the University offers advice and workshops for all teaching staff. The program includes special services for professors, mid-level academics and postdocs, doctoral candidates, student tutors, and for those teaching in English.
Advice, training, and equipment for digital teaching Topics include the academic information platforms ILIAS and Moodle, the production and use of video, audio, and images as well as e-didactics.
University alliance CIVIS – A European Civic University
The University of Tübingen is a member of the European university network CIVIS. Within the framework of CIVIS, teaching staff have the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues at partner universities throughout Europe and to jointly develop innovative teaching formats.
Transdisciplinary Course Program and Career Service
The Transdisciplinary Course Program and Career Service administers the Studium Professionale and the Service Learning and Student Commitment section; it offers academic advisors and other lecturers expertise and advice on the topics "Recognition of key qualifications", "Service Learning" and other transfer-oriented teaching/learning formats with practical relevance.
Our counselling and coaching service offers an advanced education program, "Collegial Counselling" ("Best of Counselling") for student advisors and other counsellors.
The University of Tübingen awards its annual Teaching Prize to staff members who come up with particularly sustainable teaching ideas which benefit students.
The University Writing Center offers teaching staff advice on how to guide and support students through the processes of academic writing. The Writing Center also holds workshops on this topic for teaching staff.
