3D - Reconstruction

3D reconstructions based on serial sections of semi-thin sections (LM) and MicroCT and Synchrotron Electron Tomography data are processed for different  purposes in the lab. Current projects involve questions about joint-free movements in the ovipositors of parasitoid wasps and the stylets of bugs as well as the comparative head morphology of rove beetles.

The lab is equipped with two reconstruction workstations of different processor, RAM and GPU capacities and drawing tablets.
