Z1

Administration and Academic Coordination

Project Z1 was responsible for the basic organizational and academic infrastructure within the Collaborative Research Center SFB 833. The project supported the board in the management of the SFB as well as in content and technical realization of research reports and research proposals. It was responsible for all administrative tasks, the coordination of individual research programs as well as scientific communication and networking not only within the SFB and the university but also with external research institutions. Z1 played a key role in organizing, implementing and following-up scientific events. In addition to internal colloquia, seminars and guest talks, this included external workshops and conferences, such as the international conference 'Linguistic Evidence'. It was also Z1’s responsibility to represent the SFB, for example by maintaining the websites and participating in public-oriented events such as the 'Tübinger Fenster für Forschung (TÜFFF)'. In addition to that, the project also took care of work safety and fire protection, as well as managing the SFB's office building. Furthermore, the coordinators, all of which hold PhDs in subjects relevant to the SFB, pursued their own research.
