Values in high performance sports – Quo vadis?

15.11.2017 – Breaking news about scandals in high performance sports related to doping, corruption and hyper commercialization dominate the media in recent months. Where are the “true values” of high performance sports and are there any values at all?

Institutions who are engaged in high performance sports – such as the German Sports Aid Foundation, which has funded young talents and athletes in high performance sports with more than EUR 400 million during recent decades – have to find answers to such questions.

Dr. Michael Ilgner, CEO of the German Sports Aid Foundation provided answers to these questions and explained the value oriented funding system as developed by the German Sports Aid Foundation in a recent guest lecture.

The guest lecture was embedded into seminars taught by Professor Tim Pawlowski and took place on Wednesday, 15th of November 2017 in the Ommo-Grupe-Hörsaal of the Institute of Sports Science.
