Biochemical Pathways and Large-Scale Metabolic Networks

Topics
  • Introduction to online metabolic pathway databases
  • Exercises / hands-on with useful software for working with metabolic networks:
    • Escher for visualization and
    • reconstruction with KEGGtranslator
    • practical excercise: reconstruction using online resource lookup
  • Introduction to constraint-based modeling and tutorial on COBRApy
  • Reconstruction and simulation of networks
    • Practical exercise in metabolic engineering using COBRApy/COBRA Toolbox
    • and visualizaion of results and data with Escher

This full-day course will be held by Prof. Nathan E. Lewis, Ph.D., (University of California, San Diego) together with Dr. Andreas Dräger on 30 August 2016 at the SIB in Lausanne.
