"Collaborative Research Centres are long-term university-based research institutions, established for up to 12 years, in which researchers work together within a multidisciplinary research programme.
They allow researchers to tackle innovative, challenging, complex and long-term research undertakings through the coordination and concentration of individuals and resources within the applicant universities. They therefore enable institutional priority area development and structural development."

This CRC is a joint project including linguists – theoretical linguists, specialists in particular languages and computational linguists – as well as cognitive scientists and literary scholars.

RessourceCultures. Sociocultural Dynamics and the Use of Resources
The focus of SFB 1070 is the socio-cultural dynamics deriving from the use of resources. Resources are defined as the tangible and intangible means by which actors create, sustain or alter social relations, units or identities. The joint research is conducted by a close cooperation between archaeologies, philologies, historical sciences, geography as well as Social and Cultural Anthropology.
