We have already reserved rooms including breakfast from Nov. 14 – 15, 2014 at the two following hotels which are almost opposite to each other in the center of Tübingen.

SINGLE ROOMS / DOUBLE ROOMS at Hotel Krone / Hotel Domizil

  • European Participants:
    We will try to provide all European participants     with a Single room per person. Because of room restrictions we ask for your understanding if we have to provide some participants with double rooms.

  • Korean Participants:
    We will provide the Korean participants     with Double Rooms for two persons.

    The nature of this Conference is to enable exchange between German-Speaking Countries in particular as well as between European Korean Studies Scholars. We decided nonetheless to stretch the funding to cover at least some costs of Korean scholars participating in this conference even though the budget itself is quite limited. Thus, we ask for your understanding regarding the accommodation decisions.

Please note: If you already know with whom to share a Double Room, please inform the Organizers by sending both names with regard to the Double room reservations by email until Oct. 15, 2014.

HOTEL RESERVATION

Staying at your own costs at Hotel Domizil or Hotel Krone

If you plan to stay longer at one of these two designated hotels (Hotel Krone, Hotel Domizil), we will organize the reservations for you between Nov. 13 – 16, 2014.

Just to be clear, all nights except for one will have to be paid by the participant.

Please note: We will make the reservations until Oct. 15, 2014 only for the participants who have indicated their reservation wish by email to jee-un.kimspam prevention@uni-tuebingen.de.

After Oct. 15, 2014, the remaining participants who did not contact us in this matter will have to arrange their accommodation themselves if they arrive/leave before or after Nov. 14/15.

Staying at another Hotel

If you plan to stay longer in Tübingen, but prefer another hotel, you will have to arrange your stay yourself.

We recommend HOTEL METEORA http://www.hotel-meteora.de for rooms that are quite near to the Conference venue. They have different room categories including very affordable accommodation. Please book as fast as possible, if you haven’t yet reserved any rooms.

TRAVEL / ARRIVAL

ARRIVAL BY PLANE

<span lang="EN-US">If you arrive by plane at STUTTGART AIRPORT, we recommend the shuttle bus connecting the airport and the city of Tübingen.</span>

<span lang="EN-US">Please take the Shuttle Bus number 828, which you find in front of the exit of TERMINAL 1. </span>

  • It takes around 50 – 55 minutes to Tübingen.
  • The station you have to get off is the second last: NECKARBRÜCKE
  • The hotels are very close by (walking distance 1 minute.)

Taxis are quite expensive in this region.

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN

<span lang="EN-US">If you arrive in Tübingen by train, you will have to get off at HAUPTBAHNHOF TÜBINGEN (Central Station).</span>

You can walk to the hotels (5 minutes) or take a bus and get off at the next station NECKARBRÜCKE.

BY CAR

If you arrive by car, please note that there will be additional costs for parking: around 10 EUR per day.
