PhD position (3 years, starting date 1.1.2018)

in the context of the CTA hardware development of the IAAT

The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is a future ground-based TeV observatory currently in
development. Contributions of our group to the hardware comprise developments for a camera
design, as well as for qualification devices of mirror alignment systems and mirror facets.

The successful candidate is expected to evaluate prototype data and contribute to further
developments in the context of the responsibilities of the institute.

The position is available starting January 1st, 2018. Salaries and benefits are granted according
to the German federal public service scale (50% of TV-L E13).

Applicants should have a Diploma, Master or equivalent degree in Physics, or electronic
engineering.
