Attempts to Control the End of Life in People with Dementia: Two-level Approach to Examine Controversies

In collaboration with the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands the ZFM develops animated video sequences to be shown to people with dementia, family caregivers and physicians. The videos describe different types of interventions that may increase control at the end of life in patients with dementia. In combination with interviews conducted in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Japan and the USA the videos will contribute to a cross-cultural examination of the acceptability of the different interventions. This study is one of the three work packages of the CONT-END project. The CONT-END project is funded by the EU Horizon 2020 grant "Excellent Science - European Research Council".
