TüSE Research is structured in three lines. Line 2 comprises the so-called Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
The SIGs under the umbrella of TüSE Research are interdisciplinary research groups in the field of teacher education, school and teaching research at the University of Tübingen. Scientists and scholars at the University of Tübingen join together and conduct research on common topics, based on common methodological approaches or by means of common or complementary methods. The goal of the thematically diverse SIGs is initially completely open: the joint research work can range from regular discussion groups to organising specialist conferences and jointly creating publications or DFG funding proposals.
In 2022, the School Board and Advisory Board jointly developed a plan for the further development of the SIGs, which included the establishment of three extended SIGs. The extended SIGs form research groups that aim for and carry out ‘larger’ research formats.
