True to its strategy "Research - Relevance - Responsibility. Open to New Challenges and a Global Scope of Action", the University of Tübingen is increasingly focusing its research and engagement on the overarching global challenges that will shape our future. With regard to Africa, the focus is thereby on the environment, climate and health, but also on the cultural, economic and political relations between North and South.

In order to advance promising ideas and projects in this area, the Universities of Hohenheim and Tübingen are intensifying their existing long-term cooperation and supporting joint projects by scientists from the two universities with start-up funding of up to 20,000 euros each.
