Céline Gressel

Society, Culture and Technological Change

Céline Gressel studied sociology, psychology and education in Tübingen. Simultaneously, in 2011 she started as a student assistant at the IZEW. In 2015 she completed her studies. From March 2016 she worked as a research assistant in INTEGRAM. After two years of parental leave, she returned to INTEGRAM in September 2018 and helped complete it until February 2019. In December 2018 she started her new project HIVE-Lab.

Research interests

  • Sociology of technology
  • Qualitative methods of empirical social research, in particular Grounded Theory
  • Ethics in the sciences and humanities



Completion 10/2015 Magister Artium Sociologie
Margister work: "Distributed investigation in the field of tension between knowledge and uncertainty. A technical sociological analysis of interactions and interactivities in clinical endoscopy of the digestive tract". (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Jörg Strübing, graded: very good).


Master's degree in sociology (main discipline), educational science and psychology at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen.
