Matthias Bornemann

Scientific Coordinator of the Platform Global Encounters

Matthias Bornemann studied sociology with a minor in social psychology and communication sciences in Munich. He has been working at the IZEW since 2011, currently as coordinator of Platform Global Encounters within the Excellence Initiative and as a substitute in the coordination of the Ethics Centre. He is also doing his doctorate with a thesis on "participation" (Supervision: Prof. Armin Nassehi).

Career

Studied sociology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich with minors in communication science and social psychology.

Joined the IZEW in April 2011. First as an assistant in the administrative office, then as a substitute in the coordination of the IZEW. Since April 2014 coordinator of the Platform 4 within the Excellence Initiative. In addition, staff member in various projects at the IZEW (Energy Laboratory Tübingen, Competence Centre for Sustainable Development). Currently again coordinator (in substitution) of the Ethics Centre.

PhD student with a sociological thesis on "Participation" at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (Prof. Armin Nassehi).
