Borrowing books with your library card (external users)

from 29th June 2020 onwards

At the beginning of May, the University Library was reopened after the temporary closure in order to support the university's academic activities. Only students and other members and affiliates of the university were allowed to use the library at that time.

From Monday 29th June 2020, library users who do not belong to the university but who have a library card (external user) may now also visit the library. The access should primarily offer you the possibility to borrow books or perform short literature searches. Unfortunately, due to various restrictions still in place, additional use of the library is not allowed at the moment.

Since the number of visitors in the building must still be limited, it is necessary to book a time slot for your visit (at least 10 hours beforehand). The University Library offers a special booking system for external users. When registering for the first time, please enter your library card number. Please show your card at the entrance of the library to gain access.

Please use this link to reserve a time slot.

You can book time slots from Friday, 26th June 2020, for the period of 29.06. till 12.07.2020. We ask for your understanding that we can only offer a few time slots at the moment and that you can only book one time slot per week.

Please note that books which are not available in the open access area must be ordered via the catalogue at least one day before your visit to the library so that they are available for you in time.
