Important notes

  • The list of publishers does not claim to be complete, it is intended to show that many different contract variants are possible. There are more contracts, the number is constantly changing. The contracts have different terms, especially at the turn of the year, benefits specified here may no longer apply or may be different. Also the general contract conditions can change, they may not have been updated here yet. Please make sure that the conditions you agreed to upon submission are valid until publication. For some publishers, the acceptance date is decisive for the publication fee.

  • Of course, you can still decide whether you want to publish Open Access or not, even with transformation contracts. However, not going Open Access will not reduce costs for institutions.

  • The decision in which journal you publish is your own, regardless of the framework agreements you have concluded. A checklist is provided by the tool: think check submit.

  • The individual publishers maintain a wide variety of tools that try to make the submission of the article as convenient and automated as possible. Often, the IP address of the computer or the e-mail address of the submitting author is used as a standard to interpret an affiliation and thus the cost responsibility of an institution - this is not always correct.

The University Library is available to advise you on publishing options, costs, and invoice processing. Therefore, please ask us in individual cases, we will be happy to help you.
