Collection Fehrle

The collection comprises about 1000 large slides. In the 1930s, Eugen Fehrle, a system-compliant scientist and the then director of the Heidelberg Institute for Folklore, largely used it at the picture agencies Dr. Franz Stoedtner and E. A. Seemann (see large slides). In the 1980s, it was taken over by the Institute from Heidelberg. From a thematic and collection strategy point of view, the Fehrle Collection resembles the Tübingen large slide collection of the 1930s.
