Prof. Dr. Günter Gauglitz

The working group headed by Prof. Dr. Günter Gauglitz has long-time experience in the application of optical sensors for observing bio-molecular interaction. This serves as a precondition for clinical diagnostics, point-of-care-testing and for the evaluation of large data sets. The developed optical sensor systems possess a high potential for room observation and especially for homecare. These two fields of application are central elements in the development of solutions to the challenges of an ageing society.

Gerontology at the university of Tübingen

Starting in 2006, scientists of the Eberhard Karls University in Tuebingen have been working jointly across traditional faculty disciplines to promote a better understanding on the demographic change and to rise to the challenge of finding solutions to this growing problem.

The interest group HELP (Helping the Elderly to enjoy Long comPlete lives) concentrates on exchanging ideas and expertise around the research complex of geriatric science athe the Tuebingen University. It is an open group that welcomes every societal group intererested in participating in this innovative process.
