The Master's program in Sociology: Diversity and Society offers graduates of social and cultural science programs with previous knowledge of sociological theory and skills in qualitative research methods the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the relationship between diversity and society and to develop their research skills and sociological reflectiveness.
The Master's program is consecutive to the Bachelor's program in Sociology and is designed for a standard period of study of four semesters. Of the 120 credits in this program, 111 are earned in the major subject of sociology and 9 in an interdisciplinary elective. The Master's program begins each winter semester.
Applications for the Master's program are submitted online via the ALMA application portal of the University of Tübingen. The application deadline for the winter semester 2020/21 is 15 June 2020. Admission requirements are a Bachelor's degree in sociology or a comparable study program with a grade of 2.0 or better and a successful selection interview.
