The digital sports business

27.4.2018 – On 27 April Professor Tim Pawlowski presented during a Startup Bootcamp (MMI SportsTech) – organized by TechQuartier and the German football club Eintracht Frankfurt – recent developments in the digital sports business. Amongst others, he focused on some latest research findings of the department team on sponsoring, merchandising and social media use in professional football.

Transferring and discussing latest research to/with practitioners is one of the core objectives of the department. In this regard, Professor Pawlowski frequently presents his latest findings on contest design and consumer demand in different educational programs of the European football and handball associations UEFA and EHF (e.g. in the Master in Executive Sports Governance, in the Executive Master for International Players or in the European Handball Manager). Moreover, the department team organizes in close collaboration with the German broadcaster ARD the annual event ARD Forum Sport.
