DFG Funds new Research Unit at the School of Business and Economics

The German Research Foundation (DFG) is establishing the Research Unit (RU) „Understanding the Behaviour of Multinational Corporations in the Context of International Tax Institutions“ (FOR 2738).

The objective of this RU is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the effects of international tax rules on intended and unintended margins of multinational firm activity and their consequences for economic outcomes and welfare. Ten leading researchers in the areas of public economics, international taxation and accounting will be working together in six subprojects. The speaker of the RU is Professor Georg Wamser. Professors Valeria Merlo, MArtin Ruf, Frank Stähler und Kristina Strohmaier from the School of Business and Economics,  University Tübingen, are also involved, as well as other researchers from the universities Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Köln, Mannheim and Münster.
