Within this module, students can select two out of different courses covering the economic framework conditions and business cultures of different Asian nations such as China, Japan, Korea, and India.

Focal topics include:

  • Business etiquette in specific Asian cultures
  • Cross-cultural communication and conflict management
  • Building trust relationships with Asian business partners

Objectives

Students analyze the economic, social, political and cultural conditions of specific Asian nations and assess their influence on international management issues. They will develop an understanding of Asian business cultures and discuss their influence on management activities. Through the group assignments, case studies, movie clips and role plays within the courses, students will enhance their ability to effectively communicate, interact and behave in an international business environment.
