Statistical representation competence in the interdisciplinary teaching context economy and biology

Diagrams and graphics as central components of economic and biology education play a central role in the everyday world of students. Within the framework of the research project, the diagram reading competence of pupils will first be systematically analysed. In a second step, the subject-specific use of diagrams in business lessons will be examined in more detail. Subsequently, different approaches to text diagram integration will be tested with regard to their effect on the increase in professional competence.
