After studying business education at the University of Göttingen, Michelle Rudeloff worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Education and Personnel Development at the University of Göttingen, where she earned her doctorate on "The Influence of Informal Learning Opportunities on the Financial Competence of Young People at the End of Secondary Level I". Since April 2017 she has been working at the Chair of Economic Education at the University of Tübingen, first as a research assistant and since July 2018 as lecturer.

Her research focuses on learning processes in the field of economic education. Her research focuses on the evaluation of concepts of career and study orientation as well as the identification of threshold concepts in the field of economics.
