High school graduation week from June 14-18

During the high school graduation week from June 14-18, we will introduce you to the University of Tübingen and the School of Business and Economics as a place to study and navigate you through your application.

Number of study places

This year there are 110 places at the B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration. The B.Sc. in International Business Administration offers 60 places and the B.Sc. in International Economics 90 places.

Business or Economics?

The Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration enables you to study Business Administration and Economics in an integrated way. In the first semesters, students learn various basics of business administration and economics. After starting their studies, students can decide whether they want to focus on business administration or economics.

Application deadline prolonged

Due to the pandemic, the application deadline 2021 has been postponed to July 31. The application portal will probably not be opened until July 1 this year.

Selection procedure completed

The selection procedures for the Bachelor's degree programs at the School of Business and Economics have been completed. All study places have been filled, so there will no longer be a move-up procedure. Only in the minor subject Economics, which is free of admission, enrollment is still possible until September 30.

Admission offers announced - the school is looking forward to interesting discussions

Admitted B.Sc. applicants will be invited to "get-together discussions" in Tübingen. These will take place virtually via zoom on August 10-11, 2020. This voluntary offer is intended to facilitate the decision-making process. First, a professor will welcome you for a virtual information session. Afterwards, students will be available to answer questions from the student's point of view. Open questions can be clarified in the academic advisory service.

Admissions for the bachelor minor in business administration have been submitted

40% increase in the number of applicants

Compared to the previous year, application numbers have risen sharply. More than 2309 applicants are interested in one of the 250 study places in one of the B.Sc. programs of the School of Business and Economics at the University of Tübingen. Especially International Business Administration (more than 860 applications/60 places) and Economics and Business Administration (more than 960 applications/100 places) are very popular. Applicants can probably be admitted from September 2 via hochschulstart.de.

Get-together-talks

The admitted B.Sc. applicants will be invited to "get-together discussions" in Tübingen. These will take place virtually on September 10 and 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. each day. This voluntary offer is intended to facilitate your decision making. We will send out a concrete invitation to all admitted applicants in the first week of September.

In the DIE ZEIT study guide, the School of Business and Economics achieves outstanding results. The next CHE ranking for economics will be published in 2023.

Restrictions on admission to minor subject of economics will be lifted

Students will no longer have to apply for admission to the above-mentioned program, but will only have to enrol at the Registrar's Office. The minor subject Business Administration remains restricted.

Simplified procedure

The application procedure will be simplified. In addition to the Abitur grade, precisely defined additional criteria for improving the Abitur section are taken into account.
