Studying with family care tasks - audit family-friendly university

The certificate from berufundfamilie gGmbH was awarded to the University of Tübingen in 2014. The aim is to optimise and expand family-friendly structures within the next three years. Combining career/study with family tasks is a central aspect of an equal opportunities-oriented, future-oriented university. The target agreements as well as further information on the audit can be found on the pages of the family office.

On 8 December 2014, the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences approved the "Guidelines of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences for Dealing with Students with Duty to Care for Families" and "Proposals for Standardised Compensation". The guidelines are intended to clarify responsibilities and provide students and supervisors with appropriate assistance.
The family office has also produced a handbook "Studieren mit Kind" (studying with children), seeking to support the examination office and study advisors.
