Isabella Jukas studied Korean Studies, English / American Studies and International Studies in Tübingen and Seoul. Her M.A. thesis deals with the Catholic Mission of the St. Ottilen Congregation in Colonial Manchuria. Since 2017, she is a research assistant at the Department of Korean Studies. For her Ph.D. dissertation, she currently conducts research on the topic of North Korean foreign relations, focusing on connections with the Global South.
