Sign up for University Library tours is on ILIAS. Please note that there is a Japanese Studies library (only in German) in addition to the University Library. Search the separate OPAC (only in German) for books in the Japanese Studies library.

COVID-19: Information for current and prospective students

You are interested in entering a program for Japanese Studies? Welcome on the pages of the Tübingen department of Japanese Studies.

Wie offer the only German-language university program with integrated study in Tübingen and Kyoto, and we are accepting applications now. According to current information, coursework in the winter semester for students entering the bachelor’s program will be carried out in person. Classes will begin on November 2. We would like to greet you as a student and will answer any of your questions. Please be aware of the following information:

  • The department library is offering emergency loans for Japanese Studies students. Further information may be found here.
  • The deadline for all proseminar and advanced seminar exams for the summer semester 2020 is October 31, 2020.
