Bachelor Degree majoring in Philosophy: Open admission, the first semester of study can be either in Summer semester or Winter semester. Normal study time is 6 semesters.
Combined course of study: A minor can be added. For this: as academic minor up to one further BA-minor or one of possible Magister minors listed below in group 1 or 2 can be chosen. The Bachelor exam can in particular supported cases also allow other subjects as minors which are not in group 1 or 2 of the Magister minors. Attachment: Minor.
Group 1 of the eligible Magister minors: Empirical Cultural Studies, General Rhetoric, Education Studies (Pedagogy), Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Informatics.
Group 2 of the eligible Magister minors: General and Comparative Literary Studies, Modern English Literature, American Studies, Old German Language and Literature, Linguistics of German, Modern German Literature, Romance Philology I and II, History (Ancient History, Ancillary Historical Sciences, Medieval History, Modern History), Ethnology, Greek Philology, Latin Philology, Indology, Classical Archeology, Korean Studies, Art History, Musicology, Religious Studies, Geography, Geology, and Paleontology.

Master Degree: open admission. Normal study time is 4 semesters. Consecutive Masters course of study. Requires a successfully completed degree.
Magister Degree majoring in Philosophy: open admission. A second major or two minors is required. Normal study time is 9 semesters.
Magister Degree minoring in Philosophy: open admission The first semester of study can be either in Summer semester or Winter semester. Was cancelled at the end of Summer semester 2009. For the Winter semester 2009/2010, only enrollments in the second to ninth semesters are possible, so long as countable credits are available. Only in combination with a further minor and major. Normal study time is 9 semesters.
