Dr. Krönneck’s main research interests focus around reconstructing subsistence and paleoenvironments from the Paleolithic through recent times in Europe and the Near East. She is a specialist in the identification of mammals and birds. Dr. Krönneck is involved in teaching multiple courses at Tübingen, including the popular collection preparation (maceration) class, several survey courses, and the undergraduate zooarchaeology identification class. She is also interested in experimental archaeology and is currently coordinating a workshop on worked bone, which will be offered in the fall of 2014.
