We are studying questions at the interface of plant biology, developmental genetics and evolutionary genomics. To this end, we are taking both bottom-up, forward genetic and top-down, sequencing driven approaches. Important current projects include microevolution of the plant immune system and the role of epigenetics in adaptation.

Current Research Topics

  1. Methylome comparisons (tools for identification of differentially methylated regions in plant genomes)
  2. Short read analysis for the Arabidopsis 1001 Genomes Project and related projects (SHORE software with various modules for variant calling, genetic mapping etc.)
