The Department of Early Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology at the University of Tübingen invites applications for an
Academic staff member (Akademischer Rat/Akademische Rätin auf Zeit or Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in)
in Palaeolithic archaeology starting 01.04.2020. The salary is in accordance with the civil service pay E 13 TVL or Bes. Gr. A 13. The post is initially for 3 years and can be extended to 6 years.
The position encompasses research, teaching (4 hours per week), acquisition of third-party funds and participation in academic administration. Habilitation within the duration of the position is expected.
Minimum requirements for filling the position are a doctoral degree and a distinguished record in research and teaching in the field of Palaeolithic archaeology including, but not limited to, topics such as organic or inorganic technology with respect to cultural evolution.
