Group Leader Position in the field of Cell Signaling (m/f/d)
(remuneration according to salary group E 14 TV-L)
starting as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to four years. There is the possibility of habilitation.
The position is associated with the Interfaculty Institute of Biochemistry (IFIB). The IFIB is an internationally visible, integrated research center of the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Medicine, covering all dimensions of modern biochemical research. The IFIB consists of ten research groups that participate in numerous local, national and international research networks as well as in the Clusters of Excellence funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with a strong research profile in the field of Cell Signaling. The ideal candidate will complement our research activities on cyclic nucleotide signaling. This may include the functional analysis of the multifaceted roles of cGMP, cAMP, cGAMP or other cyclic (di-)nucleotides. Both, basic and translational approaches are welcome. The successful applicant is expected to actively contribute to the DFG-funded Research Training Group GRK 2381 “cGMP: From Bedside to Bench” and, if appropriate, to further established and planned research centers in Tübingen.
Required qualifications include an outstanding doctoral thesis in the field of Cell Signaling, recognizable potential for publications in leading peer-reviewed international journals, and initial experience in acquisition of research grants and in teaching.
