CAMPOS - metabolism of pollutants on the landscape scale

Our research within the collaborative research center CAMPOS (Sonderforschungsbereich) focuses on microbial and abiotic processes responsible for the transformation of anthropogenic pollutants such as nitrate, atrazine and other priority pesticides on the catchment scale. To this end, we use a combination of field studies including enrichment and isolation of new bacteria in combination with molecular biological and omics approaches.
