The first draft model of the syphilis pathogen
In her master thesis, Silvia Morini reconstructed the first genome-scale model for Treponema pallidum.
In cooperation with the University of Milan BICOCCA and the chair of Prof. Nieselt , the first draft for a model of the central carbon change of the syphilis pathogen Treponema pallidum ssp. pallidum was developed. Ms. Morini presented the results of the work to a professional audience of modelers during the COMBINE-Conference 2018 in Boston.
