The paper includes the model of a melting pot as a reason for the uniformity of LBK social expressions in contrast to the observed diversity in aDNA-background, mobility patterns, but also raw material networks. In difference to the ‘migration paradigm’, LBK is reflected as a cultural identity to integrate diverse populations into an economic success story. Vinča might be tackled as the agglomeration of network patterns that integrated the flow of information in a wider but also socially and culturally diverse space.
