In his PhD thesis, Felix Fabian Clausberg furnishes a transcultural and transdisciplinary analysis of classical Chinese theories of ontogenesis, perception & information. The results of which open up exciting new prospects for a novel understanding of form construction processes, embodiment, and information theory. Building on synaesthetic and syn-modal forms of reasoning at the heart of both the Daoist & Ruist (Confucian) canons, as well as drawing from phenomenological, cybernetic, post-structuralist, and pragmaticist approaches, this new framework will provide base coordinates for a textural semeiotics.
Felix Fabian Clausberg is currently collaborating with Maximilian Maria Schuch (Royal College of Art) on a book project on gamification exploring a new logic of design. The book project is supported by the Ursula Ströher Foundation.
