Training, library tours
The BBB training program focuses on the key skills of information, media and data literacy. In particular, it includes library tours and introductions to general research techniques and tools such as the Catalog plus or the MLA bibliography. We also appreciate suggestions and your interest in other topics such as the basics of digital humanities.
Why?
Although the flood of information on the internet means that more potential sources are available every day, the search for trustworthy information in terms of academic standards is becoming increasingly complex. At the same time, the natural use of digital media is not necessarily accompanied by a critical assessment. Training courses can help students to efficiently find the information they really need, check its quality and use it in a targeted manner for their own academic production, from presentations to theses.
How? / Formats
We are happy to arrange individual appointments for groups of 5 people or more and adapt the tour/course to the needs and prior knowledge of the group. We also offer a "drop-in" format as part of a session of your course. The acquisition of credit points is possible with curricular integration. Contact us at any time!
