Mentoring on the fundamentals of academic work

We want to facilitate entry into the study of philosophy, by offering help with academic work in our workshops and office hours: from presentations to seminar and graduation essays, from correct citation styles to successful literature search, we attempt to make clear the full spectrum of academic work.

Questions can always be sent to us via Email. Times of workshops are duly posted in advance in the Philosophy Department and can be found out there.

Peer mentoring for students

Peer advising is particularly aimed at those beginning their studies, who require help with the planning and organization of their study, but also at those who have progressed further in their studies. It answers questions concerning study regulations. Unclarities about which courses must be taken and which subject areas must be covered, can be clarified here. Offerings include: a weekly office hour and help by email.
For specific questions about, e.g., the counting of Scheine, the peer advising cannot of course replace the generel student advising ersetzen.
