Sejal Mielke is a PhD candidate at the Department of Foundations of Education at the Institute for Educational Science, University of Tübingen. In the winter term 2020/21 she takes over a parental leave substitution at the Department of Foundations of Education. Sejal studied in Mannheim. Afterwards she worked as an integrational teacher in a kindergarten in Tübingen. Since winter term 2019/20 she is a lecturer at the Institute for Educational Science. From October 2020 to July 2021 Sejal is a junior research fellow in the civis-programme for intercultural studies. Her research concentrates on orders of belonging and its intersections with social inequality. She is also interested in relational approaches. In her dissertation, Sejal deals with the question how multiple affiliations can be thought. Her research is be supported by the Rosa Luxemburg foundation.
