Edward Mohr completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Tufts University and his Master’s in International Migration and Public Policy at The London School of Economics. His past research has focused on inequalities faced by different populations and the role of community-based organizations, the private sector and new technologies in ameliorating them.
Before arriving in Tübingen, Edward worked as a Research Analyst at the Urban Institute in Washington D.C, where he examined the economic impact of gun violence, refugee social networks and public-private partnerships in the refugee sphere among other issues. On the project “FuS – Freedom of Movement and Social Policy in Historical and International Comparison”, he focuses on how both historical and recent changes in the welfare state have impacted the freedom of movement of different populations in the United States.
