Content: | This module introduces key concepts and principles of agricultural economics, focusing on their application in the food, agricultural, and agribusiness sectors. Students will explore topics such as production economics, cost analysis, profit maximization, market dynamics, and environmental sustainability, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis. Case studies, practical examples, and analytical tools are incorporated to demonstrate the real-world applications of agricultural economics. |
Objectives: | Students will understand the economic principles underlying agricultural and agribusiness sectors and learn to apply analytical tools to evaluate production, resource management, and market dynamics. They will assess the impact of market conditions and policies on agriculture while developing strategies for sustainable and effective decision-making. |
