Responsibilities

  • Family support: This includes the reconciliation of family duties and science, referred explicitly to all members of the SFB 1070, who have family obligations. In addition to childcare, this also includes obligations to family members in need of care. Here, our equality department offers opportunities for support to balance family situations and scientific work. Coaching can be organised or arranged for this purpose.
  • Contact point for support in family-related difficulties or conflict situations. We can mediate in possible problematic situations in the course of doctoral studies or work in the SFB 1070.
  • Information transfer on possible support measures and assistance in the search for childcare places or support options in the event of care cases. In addition, information about further seminars/events or changes in the law are being provided.
  • Promotion of women: The focus here is on organising mentoring, arranging funding programmes and building networks to promote the careers of young female academics.
