The book series RessourcenKulturen is a publication medium for the results of the research conducted by the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1070 RessourcenKulturen (Resource Cultures) at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). To ensure compliance with general quality assurance standards, all volumes are subjected to an international peer review process.
With its volumes, the series reflects the subject breadth and interdisciplinary cooperation of SFB 1070, which consists of archaeologies (Prehistory and Early History, Archaeology of the Middle Ages, Near Eastern Archaeology, Biblical Archaeology, Classical Archaeology and Natural History Archaeology), Empirical Cultural Studies, Ethnology, Geography, Historical Sciences and Historical Philologies (Classical Philology, Near Eastern Philology).
In order to ensure the widest possible dissemination of SFB 1070's results, the publication form of OpenAccess has been deliberately chosen in addition to printing the works. The volumes can be viewed and downloaded from the website of the Tübingen University Library.
