The rise of China as an economic powerhouse presents both challenges and opportunities in different parts of the world. In Africa, China’s rise was initially thought to present Africa with an opportunity to rethink and chart out its development path. Decades later, results suggest that while this assumption was legitimate, a lot more needs to be done on the side of Africa to utilize the space offered by China’s growing global stature.
